I'm Sorry
I've been posting sporadically at best, and I haven't quite figured out the voice I want this space to have. I do apologize, but life is getting in the way lately. For that, all I will say is this: Relationships are hard. My relationship with Carlos really is my first, and the joys and the sadnesses it has brought me never cease to amaze me. Those who know me know that I have been in a funk lately, and I seem to have brought that home. Any ideas on how to deal with someone else when you aren't feeling yourself, please let me know. There will me no pictures in this post but I will try to update you on what has been happening, and post pictures tomorrow. The knitting and seaming on Scoopy is done. I'm weaving in what seems to be a MILLION ends and then I need to sew on the buttons, and I'm done. I'm going to try to focus on the shawl for Carlos' grandma as much as possible to ensure I get it done before Christmas. I also want to finish my Lorna's Laces multidirectional scarf before it gets cold enough to wear it. I made a list of my queue of projects on Tuesday, and it was a little scary so I need to do some knitting before I look into future projects. As for secret pal news: I received a wonderful package from mine before Halloween. There was some candy, a GIANT cookie, some bath salts and soap, and a beautiful skein of Sari Silk that I have NO idea what to do with but look at it lovingly. I'm sure you all know the feeling. I also bought a sewing machine at Target yesterday on impulse because it was on sale. Anyone know of any good beginner sewing projects? I'm going to make an attempt to post every day, even if it is just a quick sentence. I need to feel connected to people right now.
