Despite all of the job drama, I have been knitting. Luckily for me, when I gave my two weeks notice at my previous employer I was told to go home at the end of the day, which means a two week vacation for Jenny (now nearly half over). I've NEVER had this much time off in my life -- I always worked during school vacations.
I have of course been spending lots of time with the puppy, watching movies, baking cookies and knitting! I even have lots of pictures . . . .however, the cable that attaches to my computer seems to have disappeared.
I'm done with one sleeve of the Marilyn cardigan -- which means just one sleeve, collar, button bands, and crocheted ruffles to go! I can actually wear this baby to the new job so that is a motivator. I also started a pair of socks (with handpainted yarn from ebay that I wound with my new ball winder and swift -- a belated birthday gift from the Boy) in a cable and rib pattern from IK. I've never cabled before, so I am looking forward to it.
The blueberry shawl was finished, blocked, and is never to be spoken of again! C's grandma gets a purchased gift and a new shawl in March for her birthday. Anyone know of some nice shawl patterns for a non-laceweight yarn, that can be knitted fairly quickly? Also, does anyone know what to do with 440 yards of laceweight. I'm not sure I can salvage what was used in the shawl, and I have another hank. I plan on cleaning out my office a bit this afternoon (I'm actually going to get my own computer sometime after the new year) and hopefully find the cord so I can post some pictures.
