I made yarn!

I know at some point I mentioned that I had bought a drop spindle & some roving from Hello Yarn. (Wonderful service -- Thanks Adrian!). I just took the time to try it out today, and while the results are questionable it was too much fun, and I see a new hobby coming along. Darn that Sheep & Wool has to be the same weekend as the 5 Boro Bike Tour! Here is the spindle kit in its glory!

spinning is really addicting--almost more so than knitting! good job on the yarn.

Wow! You made beautiful yarn for your first spindle yarn - it looks GREAT!

I didn't love working with a drop spindle, but I really, really loved spinning on a wheel. I'm just sayin'. ;)
