I voted
but otherwise was useless.
Yesterday was the PA primarys. We are lucky and the local polling place is on the other side of our development so C and I decided to take Oscar for a long walk and vote. We got there around dinner time and saw that we were the 200th and 201st people to vote, and the polls were open since 7am. So sad. Anyhoo, Bob Casey is the democratic nominee for Senator, and he is NOT who I voted for.
Other than that, uneventful. There was a lot of clover in the grass by the school, and it looked lovely, so we are pretty confident that a clover lawn is right for us. Came home, I made dinner while Carlos worked on getting "his room" in order. I had some wine and turned the heel on my Jaywalkers, and I'm really happy with the pattern.
I'm debating whether or not to join the Sundara Petals Collection . . . anyone use Purly's yarn think that it is worth it for the 3 month service. I can't afford the whole year right now.
I also have a question for you spinners out there? How did you learn how to spin on a wheel?
Comments
I learned to spin from Kellee (Obsession du Jour). She's a fantastic enabler. And then I went to SPA in Portland, Oregon last February which is basically a gaggle of knitters and spinners who get together for a weekend to relax and hang out. Unbelievably awesome.
There's a great book called "Hands On Spinning" that will take you through spinning from learning to spin a little against your leg to putting it all together with a wheel. I've gotten a lot out of it!
And I *love* your new digs!
