I don't like Mondays
I REALLY wasn't feeling it this morning, let me tell you.
This weekend was ok. C and I have been bickering a lot lately, so Friday night he went out on his own to smoke a cigar and clear his head, and I stayed home and watched movies with my pup. It was exactly what both of us needed I think.
Saturday was a little sad. C took Oscar to the vet, and then to the kennel. We were doing a trial run boarding Oscar to see if he could handle it for a longer trip in August. I went and got my hair done (cut and color) and then went shoe shopping and bra shopping for a wedding in a couple of weeks. I got 2 pairs of shoes, a bra, 5 pairs of underwear and the book One Skein. $283 late, I should be done for the month. But then there is the bachelorette party, the wedding gift, and the hotel. I swear, I don't know how people pay for weddings when I can barely afford to be a guest!
Saturday afternoon C and I went out to get him a new phone, and a bluetooth handsfree thingy. Silly boy decided that he didn't want a phone that turned off at will. We went out for a quick bite, got some Rita's and walked in the park. Overall a nice night. . . .until we got home. It was WAY too weird to be home without Oscar. Last time we were home without him he was in the hospital.
Sunday we got to the kennel as soon as it opened to get our boy. He seemed okay actually but we are still a little weirded about leaving him for a week. Anyone out there have any HAPPY stories of kenneling their dogs to make me feel better? Other than that, I made Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic and some couscous, and we drank enough wine to make going to the gym this morning impossible.
Not much on the knitting front. Almost done with the first felted clog, and the fist jaywalker, and had to frog back River (causing a breakage in the KSH). Will try to take some pix tonight.

It sounds like you two have had enough going on in your lives recently to make some bickering unsurprising - I'm sure you'll find balance again quickly enough.
Just remember, tomorrow is another day (I'm channeling my inner Scarlet, you see...).
