to Seattle for a long weekend. I have lots to show you when I get back!
Ok, I'm boring myself writing this blog so the few of you who read this must be about to keel over.
I'm at work, so I can't post photos right now. I haven't even moved the millions I've taken over to my computer yet, or uploaded to flickr because my iMac has developed some sort of operational disorder. I can surf the net, but I can't do much else without it getting mad at me.
This weekend (I so almost wrote workend which is such a Freudian slip) was both annoying and good. The floor has turned out to be a much bigger and more labor intensive project than we had intended. The clean up has proven to be far more difficult and infinitely more annoying than the actual tilework. I also realize that I'm saying this with the perspective that I have had to help a lot more with the cleanup than I did with the tilework. I still love my backsplash.
The cleanup work has proven to be too much for me as well. My rugby-player sized boyfriend uses all of his strength with a putty knife to scrape grout off, doesn't bode well for a wimpy chick like me. (Not that I consider girls to be weak and wimpy, I just happen to be physically not-so-strong). C actually threw his shoulder out somehow Saturday morning.
Saturday night we went to Morristown, NJ and had dinner with my Dad and his girlfriend, and then out for a drink at a place that looked like an old fashioned gentleman's club.
Yesterday, I knit (on my socks, and on my Rosedale United), wove ends in (my Everyday) and spun. It was very nice.
Another 3 hours of my life down the drain scraping grout and we are still no where near done. Fun fun fun.
I finished plying my singles of the wool that came with my wool and now have some bobbins free to spin more singles. I also received some fiber in the mail yesterday. I can't decide if I will continue to spin the wool I had or start with the new stuff!
